Elevation 314 is our newest property, now in its sixth successful year as home to more than 80 tenants. What's in a name? 314 is both our street address and our elevation above sea level. Takoma is one of the highest natural points in the District and was first developed as a retreat from the sultry city. Envisioning a residential resort that combined the advantages of country living with a convenient commute, Takoma's founder chose a name derived from an American Indian word meaning "high up, near heaven." Elevation 314 provides the clean air and healthy living originally intended by the name Takoma.
